KERI ALONZO is a relative newcomer to the regional band scene, but is by no means new to the stage. A musical studies graduate of both Ithaca College and the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, Keri honed her skills not only on the musical theater stage (having performed in Guys & Dolls, South Pacific, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, The Fantastics and more), but in the operatic world, having performed numerous operas as a mezzo-soprano. Her performance in The Seagull was recorded for Tower Records, and received favorable reviews in Opera News and The New Yorker Magazine. Keri has also been a member of several high-profile regional music communities, including Albany Pro Musica, Lake George Opera and Chautauqua Opera. Her influences include Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Karen Carpenter, Judy Garland, P!nk, Whitney Houston and Mary J Blige.
